Classification of floating oil seals
1、 According to the shape of floating seal ring section, the floating seal parts are classified.(1) ladder type
The working surface of the floating seal ring is a large-diameter spherical surface with a stepped axial section. The included angle between the concave working spherical surface and the bright area of the seal is 1-2 °. When used in pairs, there are two butterfly spherical surfaces. The bright tape is sealed. The utility model saves materials and manpower, and the lubrication performance and heat dissipation performance of the working face are good. The disadvantage is that the total width of the working face is narrow and the service life is limited.
(2) bell mouth
The large diameter of this type of floating oil seal also shows concave spherical surface, with bell shaped cross section and polished seal. The advantages of bell floating ring are similar to trapezoid floating ring. The disadvantage is that the width of working face is narrower than that of trapezoid, but slightly wider, and the service life of bell shaped floating ring is slightly better than that of trapezoid floating ring.
(3) Wide spherical shape
The floating oil seal of the working face has been extended to the root of the inner hole, which greatly increases the total width of the working face, thus relatively improving the service life and being more popular. But it takes time and manpower, and it costs more.
(4) Wide groove type
This type of floating oil seal faces a wide range of field models that are the same, but in a sealed light, open 1 and 2 bags of concentric semicircle oil grooves, oil storage, lubrication and cooling effects. The disadvantages of this kind of oil seal are time consuming and high cost. Because of the groove, the total width of the working face is reduced and the service life is less than that of the wide sphere.
2、 Floating oil seal is classified according to the width of bright band of working face
(1) Narrow bright band type
The width of the bright area of the floating oil seal is only 0.2 ~ 0.3mm. The advantage of the floating oil seal is that the bright belt grinding is simple and time-saving, but the requirements for the concentricity of the floating ring are high. When the concentricity of the floating ring is too poor, oil leakage will occur.
(2) Wide bright band type
The width of the bright band of the floating oil seal is wide and can reach 1.5-2.5mm. The advantages of the utility model are that the concentricity of the floating ring parts is not high when matching with the fashion, and the sealing performance is good, but the polishing belt needs time and energy.
